I went on a family cruise from December 28, 2008 to January 3, 2009 in the Eastern Caribbean. We celebrated New Years Eve on the ship and even Mom and Dad stayed up for the celebration. And, celebrating New Years Eve on a cruise ship invokes thoughts of the Poseidon Adventure movie but we did not hit any tidal waves nor did our ship capsize. Cathy, Jay and her kids could not go due to sports commitments.
