Where it all began.  I was born at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN, in this very building.  Unfortunately, the building was demolished in early 2005.

  General Strike-Terre Haute Labor Unions called a general strike throughout the city in 1935.  This tumultuous time was a sore point in Terre Haute and the effects of this and the labor unions in general still exist today.
