When creating my interests, I thought about all my
interests. The list was longer than a speech during a Senate
Filibuster. In my effort to narrow it down to a few interests, I had to
ponder on what were the things that I enjoy to pursue the most in life and what
are the things that I spend the most time doing. I tried to list the ones
that hit some balance on these so, here they are:
The City: I know this sounds very
general but I have always loved cities, big cities. I love the song
"Downtown" by Petula Clark. There is something about the
city, the energy, the people moving about in all directions, always in a
hurry. It is some strange accomplishment to know your way around, to
feel you have conquered it. I really love to travel and visit
cities.

My Landcruiser is my toy. I have had it since 1986. It is a
1972, well, at least that is what the registration says. The frame is
a 1969, the chassis is a 1972 and the engine is Chevy 350 cubic inch,
V-8. Check it out.

Karman Ghia-My other car project is a 1960 Karman Ghia
Volkswagon. This has not been started yet.

Softball My favorite sport is
baseball. My favorite team is the Dodgers and yes, I love to watch
them on TV. I totally enjoy seeing them in person. I live only
fifteen or twenty minutes from the stadium and go quite often. I first
started playing baseball on a team at 10, (Little League), and have played
continuously except for some shoulder injuries. I played fast pitch
softball for a few years and was the catcher, what a work out! I have
had three rotator cuff repairs, (all open), on the right shoulder, the last
one being last October 2002. I expect to be released to start playing
again very soon but think I have resigned myself to the fact that it is time
to give up playing in any capacity that requires me to throw. I am
coaching a team now and it is fun to be able teach others what I can no
longer do. It has opened up a whole new competition for me. And,
I am getting better at my Spanish.
